Standing at point



On occasions it is better to umpire at point rather than the expected square-leg. An example of this would be if you are having trouble seeing the crease lines because of the glare of the sun. Another example would be if a fielder is standing in your line of sight of the stumps.
As a courtesy, advise the fielding captain of your decision.
